What is this site?
It’s a collection of tips for people who want to move to another country. I’m hoping to counteract some hype and misinformation I see online. I’m not trying to sell you anything. This site is a hobby.
Written by a field-tested foreigner
I grew up in the US and left in 2010. Since then I’ve:
- Lived in 3 other countries for several years each, including countries that are “developing,” trendy, and not trendy.
- Visited 30 other countries, staying for a week to several months.
- Travelled full time for a couple of years, increasingly whining about the lack of decent desk chairs in short-term lodging.
During all of that, I built and ran an online business. I finally sold it and am now free to say what I want on an anonymous website that the world will ignore.
I speak 2.17 languages. By the time you read this, it might be 2.18.
